Art is an adventure that you enter through a mirror door.
When French artist Mathieu Briand swam from one small island to an even smaller island off Madagascar in 2008, he was on a quest: to find a safe haven for contemporary art. Et In Libertalia Ego, Vol. II documents the artist’s journey, from the years 2008 and 2015, through a highly-illustrated journal, contributions from the artists who joined him, and a foreword from curators Nicole Durling and Olivier Varenne.
